She ran in Greece at Spartathlon, a 246-kilometer race that lasted over 33 hours. Mariana exudes energy, strength, confidence, and conveys a determined determination. She was born in Barlad, in 1974, and at the age of four she was abandoned at the orphanage. Her first contact with sport was gymnastics, at the age of 3, but after 6 years, she was heading to athletics.
